The Chalky White Substance
Directed by Eric Jorgensen, this adaptation of The Chalky White Substance, a post-apocalyptic one-act play written by Tennessee Williams in 1980, takes its title from the radioactive dust that covers the landscape. The production features two characters, Mark and Luke, both portrayed by Matthew Greenberg in this April 18, 2026 performance at the Neltje Center in Banner, Wyoming. Through the use of videography, the character of Mark was pre-recorded and projected onto two V-shaped screens, while Luke remained centered between them. Greenberg masterfully interacts with the projected versions of Mark throughout the performance. Video and projection design for the production were created by Brock Tamlin and Brandon Gellis.
